Elysian Gangchon: Baegyang-ri Station inside the resort, ITX-Cheongchun lift discount, 10 slopes and late sessions, 2025-26 timed prices, plus Nami Island, Legoland and Chuncheon dakgalbi.
Run by GS E&C, Elysian Gangchon bills itself as "the only ski resort reachable by subway train": Baegyang-ri Station on the Gyeongchun line sits inside the resort, about an hour from Seoul on the ITX-Cheongchun. Eight of its 10 slopes are beginner or intermediate, so it is an easy day out. It is part of the 2026-27 X6+ Season Pass and operating normally.
Skiing by train: Baegyang-ri Station is inside the ski area, so you can walk to the slopes with your gear. The ITX-Cheongchun takes about an hour, and ITX passengers get 40% off lift tickets. The resort also runs a free loop shuttle, including a Chuncheon route (enquiries 033-260-2345).
2025-26 prices: Walk-up timed tickets were ₩62,000/₩75,000 (weekday/weekend) for 2 hours, ₩72,000/₩85,000 for 4 and ₩82,000/₩95,000 for 6; online, ₩67,000/₩80,000 for 3 hours up to ₩87,000/₩100,000 for 7. 2026-27 prices have not been announced. Grooming runs 17:00–18:30.
Chuncheon food: Chuncheon's Myeongdong Dakgalbi Street serves iron-pan and charcoal dakgalbi with makguksu. Silbi Makguksu, an officially certified century shop nearly 50 years old (closed Tuesdays), and the Gamjabat café in Sinbuk, known for its potato bread, are both popular. For halal food, see the restaurant by Nami Island's east gate.
Has Elysian Gangchon closed? No. It ran its full 2025-26 season (December 5 to March 8) and has been selling the 2026-27 X6+ Season Pass since September 9, 2026.
Is it easy for foreign visitors? For 2025-26 the resort was reported to have added a foreign-language ski school, a rental house for foreigners and English and Chinese signs. Its website has English, Chinese and Japanese versions.
