WelliHilli Park: the 2024 Youth Olympic freestyle and snowboard venue, gondola, the KTX Dunnae shuttle, Seoul shuttles with foreigner booking, and Hoengseong Korean-beef restaurants.
WelliHilli Park is in Dunnae-myeon, Hoengseong. It opened in 1995 as Hyundai Sungwoo Resort and took its current name in 2012. The freestyle skiing and snowboard events of the 2024 Gangwon Youth Olympics were held here, and a resort shuttle meets the KTX at Dunnae Station. It is part of the 2026-27 X6+ Season Pass.
The mountain: The official site highlights an international-standard superpipe and a sightseeing gondola. Wikipedia lists 20 trails (12.3 km in total) and 8 lifts including the gondola, with a longest run of 2.6 km. We could not read the official slope pages, so check the resort's notices for which slopes are open each season.
Getting there: From KTX Dunnae Station on the Gangneung line, the official shuttle runs from March 3, 2026 until further notice: from the resort at 09:30, 11:30 and 14:30, and from Dunnae at 09:40, 11:40 and 14:40. Paid Seoul and Gyeonggi ski shuttles are run by Daewon (02-2201-7710); foreigners can book on +82-2-335-5889 or WhatsApp/Line +82-10-9388-5889.
Hoengseong beef: Hoengseong is famous for hanu (Korean beef). Hanuseong sells only 1++ grade (closed Tuesdays); Hoengseong Chukhyup Hanu Plaza is run by the livestock co-op; Hoengseong Sun Hanu also does galbitang and yukhoe bibimbap. Somunnan Sikdang next to the resort serves black pork, hwangtae soup and osam bulgogi (closed Tuesdays).
Is it operating in 2026-27? Yes. It has announced X6+ Season Pass sales and a season pass for Hoengseong residents. The opening date has not been announced.
Is it close to the KTX? An official shuttle runs three times a day from Dunnae Station, stopping at the bus stop outside the station and the large-bus lot in front of the resort's West building.
