O2 Resort Ski Guide, Taebaek — 1,420 m and Snow Festival

O2 Resort in Taebaek: a 1,420 m summit, a 3.2 km beginner route, Friday and Saturday night skiing, timed lift prices, the Taebaeksan Snow Festival, briquette-grilled beef and mul-dakgalbi.

Booyoung Group's O2 Resort is a high-altitude ski area in Taebaek, topping out at 1,420 m. It has 15 km of slopes including a 3.2 km beginner route, and sells a season pass shared with the group's Muju Deogyusan Resort. Taebaek also hosts the Taebaeksan Snow Festival, which makes it a good winter trip in its own right.

The mountain: The official site lists slopes under 12 consolidated names, and the resort planned to run 8 in 2025-26. The longest are the 3.2 km beginner route (Head + Happy) and the 2.7 km intermediate Glory 3. There are six lifts, including the eight-seat Kiwi and Sweet Shuttle.

Lift tickets: The official fee table lists adult timed tickets at ₩53,000/₩63,000 (weekday/weekend) for 3 hours, ₩63,000/₩73,000 for 5 and ₩70,000/₩80,000 for 7, with a single ride at ₩15,000 (the season is not stated). Guests and residents of nearby areas get about 40% off. The sightseeing gondola is ₩18,000 return.

Getting there: Taebaek Station is not a KTX stop, and we could not confirm a current station shuttle. Buses run from Dong Seoul to Taebaek intercity terminal. The resort advises drivers to use Route 38 from Jecheon and carry snow tyres and chains.

Is O2 operating in 2026-27? Yes. It has announced a second round of 2026-27 season-pass sales and its members' club. The opening date has not been officially announced.

Is there a pass shared with Muju? Yes — a season pass covering both O2 and Muju Deogyusan Resort, which belong to the same Booyoung Group, is sold.
